The sequel to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, now has a release date.
Revealed at the RGG Summit/Like A Dragon Direct today, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth will see hero Ichiban Kasuga landed in Honolulu, Hawaii, in search of his mother.
He’ll be starting at rock bottom again, but accompanied by familiar faces, in this new open world map. All but one party member from the previous game (Eri, the optional guest party member is not here) returns, plus the addition of post-Agent-Joryu-arc Kazuma Kiryu.
The 10-minute story trailer above gives a bit more backstory, setting up Kasuga’s story after the events of the previous game and what led to the events in Infinite Wealth. Looks like he got a proper job, proposed, and then ended up in Hawaii.
It gives a little bit of context why Kasuga was butt-naked in the reveal trailer.
The long trailer also introduces new party members: Eric Tomizawa and Chitose Fujinomiya.
It also looks like Seonhee (Seong-hui) is also joining the party this time.
There are some big reveals in the story trailer, some feel like outright spoilers.
A special Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth demo will be available in Like A Dragon Gaiden.
Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth will be releasing on January 26, 2024 for PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
