Yakuza 3, 4 And 5 Are Getting An English Release As The Yakuza Remastered Collection

And Yakuza 3 is out now

It’s expected, but not in this way. At gamescom 2019, Sega has revealed that remasters of Yakuza 3,4 and 5 will be out in English on PS4. They are called the Yakuza Remastered Collection.

Unlike Yakuza 1 or 2 which received the extreme (that’s English for Kiwami) remake treatment, the three games are straight remasters, though they run at 1080p and 60fps. You cannot buy them separately unlike the Japanese and Chinese release- it’s a bundle for all three games for RM239- the price of one game.

You read that right, it’s now available for Playstation Asia too. Yakuza 3 is out now when you buy The Yakuza Remastered Collection, with Yakuza 4 coming on October 30, 2019 and Yakuza 5 on February 12, 2020.

Yakuza 3 sees protagonist Kazuma Kiryu runs an orphanage, but somehow still got pulled back into the melodrama that is the life of a Yakuza. Yakuza 4 sees four playable protagonists including Kiryu, each character with different movesets, story arc and silly ways to record ‘revelations’. Yakuza 5 also retains the four playable protagonists, but one is switched for Kiryu’s foster daughter Haruka as she journeys into the life of being an idol.

Now it’s possible to play the entirety of the main Yakuza series, including 0 and 6, on the PS4.
