Watch The Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay In Its Full 48-Minute Glory

This is not a drill!

Cyberpunk 2077 had a big showing at E3 2018, but the most important part of the reveal- the gameplay- were only shown behind closed doors. After both E3 and gamescom (which showed an alternate route of the same demo), the world is now ready to see it.

This is not a drill! It’s our first look of Cyberpunk 2077.

The gameplay reveal shows a female V. You can choose V’s gender, background story and stats. Like the Cyberpunk pen-and-paper property, 2077 uses the same stat points (Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, Reflexes, Tech and… Cool) but you are not hard-locked into a class. Classes from Cyberpunk do appear, but it’s a fluid class system.

Yes, it’s all first-person now but there are enough points in the game where it cuts to a cinematic where you can see V. But this new perspective gives a fresh way of dealing with conversations as it can happen seamlessly anytime anywhere. We got a look at how detailed the streets of Night City is and then how large it is once you got in a car. Nudity can be seen as we last reported.

As far as combat goes, it’s an FPS RPG. Gun stats matter and weak points deal more damage. There are destructible walls. The many body enhancements you can put in- cyberware- also bring plenty of variety on how to tackle a gunfight. The mantis blades seen in the first teaser when Cyberpunk 2077 was announced also made an appearance.

However, this is still a work-in-progress. Throughout the video you will be frequently reminded by this. The game was last heard to be in pre-alpha but has now been reported to be fully playable from start to finish. Be excited, but don’t worry too much if there’s some changes.

Cyberpunk 2077 has no release date yet but will be available on the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
