Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide Gameplay Showcases Its First-Person Combat

Fatshark showed off a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide. This is a four-player co-op horde game from the makers of Warhammer: Vermintide. Instead of exterminating Skavens, you’re here in the 41st millennium cracking some skulls for the Emperor.

The gameplay looks more like Vermintide but you have the option to shoot guns. The intricate first-person combat looks to return for Darktide, as you see many encounters solvable with knives and chainswords. But you do get to use lasguns.

Warhammer 40K Darktide has you clear out the heretics that have taken over the hive city Tertium with up to 4-player co-op play supported.

On PC, Darktide will support Nvidia DLSS upscaling tech for better game performance and/or visuals, as well as Nvidia Reflex, which improves input lag for a more responsive experience, when it comes out on day 1. There’s also some ray-tracing effects support, but not specified what kind yet (Reflections? Shadows?).

Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide releases on September 13 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also coming to Xbox Game Pass.
