Warframe Plains Of Eidolon, The Update That Brings Open World To The Game, Is Now Live On PC

The free-to-play shooter Warframe is expanding its scope in its biggest update yet. Plains Of Eidolon will bring players into a fixed open world map to explore, hunt and even do some side activities like fishing and mining.

There will also be massive creatures, the Eidolons, that you can attempt taking down, but these are geared for experienced players.

Alongside the update comes new weapons, including new modular weapons, a reworked Focus system, more mods and a new Warframe named Gara to unlock.

The update is now live on PC, which is sized around 3.3GB, while console players have to wait until November to get the new update.

Warframe is free-to-play, and can be downloaded from Steam here.
