It is crazy that 2020 is the year we are getting another Half-Life and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines game. Though the latter this time is getting more time as it is still being worked on thanks to a delay.
The team at Hardsuit Labs gave a bit of an update on what’s currently going with Bloodlines 2 development. The last time they checked in, the game was in alpha stage.
Right now, Bloodlines 2 is on its way to going “content complete”. Side quests, systems, and animations have all been locked in. So it’s making good progress.
The interesting tidbit from this dev update is how traversal is changed. Now you get access to all three traversal abilities previously tied to a Thinblood discipline. So rather than making a choice of a bat glide (Chiropteran Glide), telekinesis (Mentalism Pull) or turning yourself into a mist (Nebulation), all these traversal abilities will be available for every vampire. Though you still get to pick a primary Thinblood discipline.
So expect more exploration now that these tools are expected to be used by everyone.
Bloodlines 2 still has no concrete release date yet, but it’s still coming this year to the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
