Want more The Sims 4 content? For those willing to pay, here are two more kits releasing on June 2, later this week.
The Sims 4 Grunge Revival Kit and Book Nook Kit DLCs are the fifth and sixth kits of this year. And there’s a nice pattern forming here where one is a fashion Kit that adds new apparel or customisation options in Create A Sim (CAS), while the other is furniture, building features and other miscellaneous content for Build Mode.
The Grunge Revival Kit adds a bit more 90’s spirit, some might say teen spirit, that was emblematic of the grunge movement. Ragged, worn, baggy but stylish apparel fit for the rebellious or free spirit Sims.
Meanwhile, the Book Nook Kit is for the more refined Sims that chose to stay indoors and be lost in their abundance of books. New plush seatings and bookshelves upon bookshelves (stackable) are available to make a Sim’s comfy reading abode. Or a library, or a book club room.
Kits are mini-DLCs at a lower price point (but rarely go into deep sales) served to add cosmetics rather than any meaningful gameplay additions- though they are at least one existing Kit that did try to add new gameplay.
As we mentioned in our review of the first two The Sims 4 Kits of this year, it’s a nice option to have, but never a necessary purchase.
The Sims 4 Grunge Revival Kit and Book Nook Kit will be available on June 2. The Sims 4 is free and available on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App), Mac (Steam, Epic Games Store, Origin), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
