Nintendo Switch has gotten some people excited of a new age of Nintendo, with many others remain skeptical on some odd compromises they are taking which reminded why the Japanese console maker has struggled in recent years.
One of the odd decisions for the Switch hardware is a meagre 32GB internal storage size. It’s really small nowadays, considering AAA games on PS4 and Xbox One can clock to 40-50GBs. It only makes sense when you compared it to other mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, that are slowly going above the regular 16GB internal storage.
But it shouldn’t be a problem if the games on the Switch are relatively small, right?
Well, we just got the news of the size for The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’s storage size. According to the Japanese product page here, it will be 13.4GB in size. The Wii U version will be 13GB.
That’s a lot of space being taken should you download the game digitally. Also note that 32GB of internal storage isn’t all usable as some of the size will be reserved for the operating system.
We are still unsure if Switch games requires installation prior to playing. But for now, if you are thinking of buying Switch games digitally, do invest in SDXC cards. The system supports up to 2TB of external storage through those cards, however they are not cheap. At least for now.
