Yager, the studio famous for Spec Ops: The Line, has been making the PvPvE free-to-play multiplayer shooter The Cycle. Sometime last year the game was revamped into a completely new game, now dubbed The Cycle: Frontier.
A match of The Cycle: Frontier, set in a sci-fi setting, has you drop into a deserted planet, collect loot, complete objectives and then fend yourself from hostile creatures as well as other players doing the same thing.
The catch is that you can only keep the loot and clear the missions if you can escape the planet alive. You go drop in solo, as a duo or as a squad of three players.
Think Hunt Showdown and Escape From Tarkov and you get the idea of what this game is.
The game is now out in full, available both on Epic Games Store and for the first time on Steam.
The full release also marks the start of Season 1. With the game being free-to-play, The Cycle: Frontier has a Battle Pass-like Season Pass for cosmetic unlocks, though there are unlocks available for free players as well.
