The car list lacks newer, recently released cars but given the amount of detail we can expect to see in these cars, the selection is not that bad. And it looks like TDUSC is also adhering to the unspoken rule of having the three starter car choices are from the US, Europe and Japan, just like how the Pokemon games always let you pick a Fire-Type, Water-Type or Grass-Type Pokemon as your starter.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be the first Test Drive game developed under publisher Nacon and developer KT Racing. The game is set to follow the template of the previous two Test Drive Unlimited games developed by Eden Games as Solar Crown is set on a 1:1 recreation of an island, this time it’s Hong Kong Island.
The Test Drive Unlimited series established many of the features we see in open world racing games today, but its certain je ne sais quois, the ability to browse cars in a car showroom and drive a car as a law-abiding citizen, should set it apart from the competition.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown releases on September 12 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
