Tekken 7 Teases More Guest Characters To Come

While we are still waiting for the eventual console release of Tekken 7, Bandai Namco is teasing some post-launch content that will arrive throughout the year and beyond.

It’s not much, but tweet here over at Bandai Namco SEA’s Twitter (and the official Tekken account) has shed a bit of light on what it will be.

The highlight here is guest characters, from other game franchise. They managed to get Akuma of Street Fighter into Tekken 7 Fated Retribution (the updated arcade version) before he was ever hinted to appear in Street Fighter V.

Bandai Namco could play it safe here if they just pick one from its other fighting games like Soul Calibur.. or they could get pull off another Akuma. Maybe one from SNK’s King Of Fighters? Team Ninja’s Dead Or Alive? NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat? Or maybe from Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear or Blazblue?

It will be a long wait though, as the two characters are scheduled for Winter 2017 and Spring 2018 release respectively. In the meanwhile, expect a new mode to appear near its launch window later as well as extra costumes.

It is yet unclear if this will be part of a season pass. Details will come soon enough.

Tekken 7 is expect to release on June 2nd for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
