Street Fighter V Will Roll Out Store Functions, Micro-Transaction Prices Detailed

Street Fighter V will have its Story Mode releasing this month, but it will also will role out proper store functionality.

Currently, Zenny, a currency that only earned by micro-transactions (i.e. paying real money), were not yet implemented. DLC characters like Alex and Guile were given for everyone on a trial basis until they figured out how to price the Zenny. Turns out, they scrapped using Zenny and instead, uses direct micro-transactions.

Once the new update hits, you can now buy new characters, story costumes and stages using real money as well as Fight Money, the in-game currency. Premium costumes are only purchasable with real money unfortunately, but the good news is if you want some of the pre-order costumes, like Hot Ryu featured above, now you can finally own one.

Here’s the pricing for the micro-transactions. Ringgit price is based on USD conversion, so is subject to change.

Compared to the pricing of characters in Killer Instinct, it’s not too far from the usual rate, so it seems fair. Though you could go and get some wins online and collect 600K worth of fight money to permanently unlock Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Urien and Juri will take you some time.

The arrival of the micro-transactions can be summed up with the wise words of Balrog: “MY FIGHT MONEYYYY!!!”
