Free weekends work. Not only it gives more people a chance to try the game out again long after the beta period, it can help drive back the community with a surge of new players. As such, Ubisoft’s extreme sports game Steep is getting one this weekend.
All of the game’s content, including the new Alaska area, are all playable this weekend. On top of that, a 40% discount of the digital purchase will be available during this period.

Steep is one hard sell. While we walked away impressed with the beta, not many do. We may have praised the trick system for instance, but not many like the way it was implemented. At least the stuffed animals suits look as silly as it should.
