Spiders and Nacon’s upcoming soulslike action RPG apparently has locked in a release date. The game is also now available for pre-order, including on Steam for RM93.99 for Malaysia.
Pre-order bonuses include an alternative “Marie-Antoinette” skin for your playable character Aegis as well as exclusive access to a beta which starts on August 25, two weeks before the game’s full release.
Steelrising is set in an alternative 1789, during the Storming Of Bastille which signals the start of the French monarchy’s downfall. This alternate history see King Louis XVI likes clockmaking so much he built an entire army of mechanical automatons to fend against the rebellion. However, the robots have gone out of control murdering everyone.
As Aegis, one of the dancing automatons for the Court and Queen Marie-Antoinette’s bodyguard. She orders you to “cut a path through Paris where the machines are sowing terror.”
Steelrising is the first game Spiders is making under Nacon. The development team has also announced the development of a sequel to their previous action-RPG title Greedfall.
Steelrising releases on September 8 for the PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
