Sonic Mania Set To Release August 15, But PC Version Is Delayed

Sonic Mania, the new Sonic game with the classic 2D Sonic we all know and love, is scheduled to release very soon. While the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions are all set on track for release on August 15, the PC version however, is taking a bit of a delay.

This information was shared during an official livestream. “The team is working really hard to make sure it works on all platforms and on a lot of things to touch it up,” Sonic community manager Aaron Webber said. “We are not going to put out a game that is not the best it can be.”

As such, those who pre-ordered Sonic Mania on the PC will be gifted a free copy of the original Sonic The Hedgehog for free. The PC version will be available on August 29.

In other news, a new trailer showcasing the intro cinematic is made available. Continuing the same animation seen in the pre-order trailer, it is one beautifully made intro. If you have fond memories of the Sonic CD intro, this sure lived up to that.
