Sonic Colors Ultimate Coming To PS4, PC, Xbox, Switch

At the Sonic 30th Anniversary livestream, Sega revealed that it’s bringing the 2010 Wii game Sonic Colors to PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch as a remaster.

Sonic Colors Ultimate will see the blue blur in not-blurry resolutions and on more modern hardware. The release is being developed by Blind Squirrel Entertainment, which helped in bringing the recent Mass Effect Legendary Edition remaster.

Sonic Colors is arguably one of the better modern 3D Sonic games. In Colors, Sonic is out to rescue Wisps from being used to power Dr. Eggman’s interstellar amusement park. These Wisps will also grant Sonic special powers.

Sonic Colors Ultimate will see upscaled visuals, new features, a new game mode and “enhanced gameplay”.

The PC version is interestingly an Epic Games Store exclusive.

If you missed out on Sonic Colors back then, you now have a good excuse that does not involve plugging back a Wii.

Sonic Colors will be out on September 7 for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
