Sombra, The Elusive Overwatch Hero, Finally Revealed At Blizzcon

Finally! After months of teasing with the Alternate Reality Game (ARG) and trails of clues, we finally have Sombra, the long-awaited 23rd hero for Blizzard’s highly-successful new IP Overwatch.

In fact, it was the first of the biggest announcements being made during the opening ceremony of Blizzcon, being introduced by founder and CEO MikeĀ Morhaime. What would be a normal looking trailer on the launch of Overwatch only to glitch out to reveal Sombra and a new animation short titled Infiltration. Folks who followed the ARG would know by now that she was last seen infiltrating Volskaya Industries, and the animation picks up from that as she is seen working with Talon agents Reaper and Widowmaker.

Sombra is playable at Blizzcon and will hit the Public Test Realm (PTR) by next week, along with more cool additions to the game including a new map and Arcade Mode. The offensive stealth hero’s kit will be known soon enough.
