Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun, first released back in 2016, is getting an expansion. A standalone expansion.
Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun – Aiko’s Choice is still set in the lands of Edo Japan but focuses on one particular character from the main game, Aiko. The kunoichi (with the ability to disguise herself as a geisha) is confronted by her old sensei and spymaster Ladi Chiyo. Aiko has her group of assassin friends to help her fight back her past ghost.
The Aiko’s Choice expansion adds three new missions (plus three shorter interlude missions) all in brand-new locations. All the features you expect from the main game is here, like the synchronised team action feature (Shadow Mode), lethal and non-lethal attack options, and three difficulty levels.
Aiko’s Choice is a standalone expansion so you don’t need to own Shadow Tactics to give this one a try. However, a familiarity with the base game is still recommended, at least the first few missions. The demo for Shadow Tactics is still available.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice will be out on PC (Steam) in December 2021.
