See Doom Eternal Running on 4K With RTX On Powered By Nvidia’s New RTX 3080Ti GPU

It’s about time that another id Software game is getting ray-tracing. Revealed at Nvidia’s Computex 2021 keynote, Doom Eternal (and a few other games) will be adding support for Nvidia RTX and DLSS.

Here’s 3 minutes of ray-tracing showcase for Doom Eternal. It’s subtle, because Doom Eternal already looks fantastic. But you can see the benefits or ray-tracing from the more accurate reflections from puddles and glass.

The gameplay footage is running at 4K and can easily do more than 60fps. The footage, as you can see in the telemetry text on the top right corner of the video, is powered by the newly announced Nvidia RTX 3080Ti, the new flagship GPU for the RTX 30 Series.

More games will be getting either RTX and DLSS, or just DLSS support. The games to get both are Doom Eternal, The Ascent, Dying: 1983, Icarus, Lego Builder’s Journey and The Persistence. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rainbow Six Siege will be getting DLSS sometime soon.

There are now 130 games that supports Nvidia RTX, a sign that ray-tracing continues to grow support (and a reason to invest in a ray-tracing capable card).
