Say Hello to Heroes of The Storm 2.0

Blizzard announced that they will be overhauling some of the key progression, currency and heroes collection in their acclaimed MOBA, Heroes of The Storm.

Dubbed “Heroes 2.0”, This newest update sees the addition of Loot chests, which you’ll get every level, just like Overwatch. Gold, skins, heroes and a few new to the game items such as sprays, banners, emojis, portraits, and mount variations will be inside these randomized chest.

Heroes 2.0 will remove the level cap and decrease the XP curve, so experience will be streamline at around level 12, with the players’ levels now reflect the sum total of each individual heroes.

They have reworked the items shop to include all the new items mention above and also announced that you can buy announcers and various voice pack to enhance the game more, copying from their other successful games such as Starcraft 2 and Overwatch.

The new currency “Gems” will replace the direct monetary currency of the previous shop, enabling players to buy both skins and heroes with it. Along with the addition of Shards that you’ll get from opening the Loot Chests that players can use to craft skins, Gold is still a viable currency for players as it can be used to buy heroes.

With that said, all of these new changes are now available to download via the Blizzard Client under the “Heroes 2.0” title. Expect the updates to reach worldwide servers sometime in April.
