Razer Huntsman Mini Analog Is A Compact Keyboard With Analog Switches

Wait, so analog is back now? It sure looks like it, as Razer has announced the Razer Huntsman Mini Analog. This is the first 60% compact keyboard to make use of Razer’s proprietary Analog Optical Switches.

The Analog Optical Switches allows for digital and analog inputs. Digital is your usual keystrokes, but analog inputs make note of how much you press the switch.

Practical uses of these include giving access to throttle control, finer steering and braking control for players who play racing games with keyboards. Or you can assign two functions on a single keypress lightly to walk and hard press to sprint. You likely can play Metal Gear Solid 2 as it was designed where you can lightly press a button to aim and not shoot by lightly letting the button go.

Double-mapping the same key for two functions require some manual setup and tinkering via the Razer Synapse software.

The Razer Huntsman Mini Analog uses Doubleshot PBT keycaps, has an aluminium construction and uses a detachable USB Type-C cable.

If you like compact keyboards, want a keyboard that’s portable, or for some reason refuses to play racing games on PC with a controller (which is fine and valid- game how you want), the Razer Mini Analog is for you. It’s now available in Malaysia (including on Razer Malaysia’s Lazada and Shopee pages) for RM619.
