Quantic Dream Is Now Partially Owned By NetEase

Chinese company NetEase, infamous for being the developer of Diablo Immortal, has announced that they have taken a minority stake in David Cage’s Quantic Dream, giving Quantic enough capital to still be independent in the industry.

This investment comes in as the co-founder wanted to oversee his studio’s vision of becoming a “global, multi-franchise entertainment company, and to develop advanced technologies and games for the future”.

One upside to this is that the next game David Cage releases will be made multi-platform, so maybe a new version of Detroit for Xbox or PC in the horizon? Who knows what the future could hold.
