Private Division, the publishing label under Take-Two specialising in indie games, have announced four new publishing deals with four different indie game developers: Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio, and Yellow Brick Games.
Die Gute Fabrik was the developers behind Muatzione. Their next game has yet to be announced but it will be a story-driven game.
Evening Star is working on a 3D action platformer that will be making use of its proprietary game engine, Star Engine. This dev studio is founded by several key people that developed Sonic Mania Plus.
Piccolo Studio is the team behind the atmospheric Arise: A Simple Story. The developers will be working on a new IP in partnership with Private Division.
Yellow Brick Games is the newest studio of the four, only founded in 2020, but also has a list of industry veterans with experience working on big-budget, AAA game series including Dragon Age, Assassin’s Creed, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. Yellow Brick Games is currently working on a new action RPG.
We only have scant details of what these developers are up to, as they are all in early development. Private Division stated that the first of these games will only be expected to launch until Take-Two’s Fiscal Year 2024- that’s after March 2024 the earliest.
Private Division has published a number of interesting indie titles, with the most recent one being Roll7’s OlliOlli World (which we really liked a lot). But it looks like it will be a long while until we hear more about the publisher’s next offering.
