Here’s an interesting promo, open for PS5 players in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
PlayStation Asia is hosting a meet-and-greet with Final Fantasy XVI producer Yoshida Naoki, who will be at Sunway Pyramid Mall, Malaysia on July 1.
All you have to do to participate is by pre-ordering a physical copy of FFXVI at participating retailers, and then filling in this form.
Winners are selected from the best answers as seen in the form. Ironically, the best answer is supposed to be the best question.
80 winners in Malaysia will win the chance to meet Mr. Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P in the Final Fantasy community.
3 winners in Singapore and Indonesia respectively, plus 2 winners in Thailand and Phillippines respectively, will win free travel and accommodations to Malaysia to attend the meet-and-greet.
UPDATE 25/03/23: An earlier version of the story mentioned that the winners are based on luck. However, PlayStation Asia has clarified that the best answer will determine the selection of winners. This is not a lucky draw.

It’s a fascinating promo deal. Yoshi-P has a strong following in the FF community, he is the face of the team that successfully turned around Final Fantasy XIV from a failure of an MMORPG into one of the most beloved entries in the franchise.
And there’s a lot of hype on the upcoming FFXVI, which will be primarily a character-action game than being a traditional RPG as the series is known for, solely from Yoshida’s reputation.
It’s also cool to see localised promos being done here in Southeast Asia. PlayStation remains in the lead with the many engagements and marketing they have done in this region, though not to say there’s no effort at all from other camps.
Final Fantasy XVI will be out on June 22 exclusively on PS5. By the time the meet-and-greet happens, fans will definitely have a lot to talk about as the game will be out by then.
