Path Of Exile 2 Beta Delayed To Later This Year

The beta for Grinding Gear Games’ upcoming sequel to Path Of Exile has been delayed.

Previously slated to be available this June, the beta is now delayed into sometime later this year.

“While we can get the game’s content ready in time, we underestimated how long it takes to get gameplay polished to a standard that we are happy with,” said Jonathan Rogers, Game Director of Path of Exile 2.

“We will still be doing an Alpha in June, but we are going to be delaying the Beta until later in the year.”

But it’s not all bad news. The recent GGG Live livestream revealed some new gameplay for Path Of Exile 2, revealing the Ranger class. This class is able to move while shooting arrows and has a lot of different bow attacks which includes crit-guaranteed shots and AOE hail of arrows. And all those skills can be further customised with the Skill Gems system, which can lead to cool synergies doing nasty damage.

Path Of Exile 2 is the sequel to Path Of Exile, the Diablo-esque ARPG. The game will feature a new campaign spanning six acts, 100 different environments, 600 monsters, 100 bosses, 12 classes, and an endgame spanning over 100 maps. The game will be existing side-by-side with the original Path Of Exile, which is getting a new expansion called Necropolis releasing on March 29.

Path Of Exile and Path Of Exile 2 are free-to-play games. Path Of Exile 2 will be available on PS5, PC (Steam), Mac and Xbox Series X|S.
