Official Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Emulator Set to Launch on Steam

For fans of old-school gaming, the likes of Nintendo and Sega often comes to mind. While the Big N has maintained it’s relevance within gaming, Sega sadly has not.

Fret not, however, for you still can go back to the classics of Sega’s yesteryear of glory. If you can find your old consoles that is, or thankfully, we have Steam.

Several Sega Mega Drive or the Genesis, games have been available on Steam for gamers to purchase for quite some time now, and as long as you own one, you will be granted access to the Sega Classics Hub, which launches next week.

It is a fully fledged emulator and has “spot-on emulation, local co-op for games that support it, optional graphic enhancement filters, the ability to save states at any point during gameplay and full controller and keyboard support,” eliminating many of the problems of the old and embracing new technology.

That is not all; the stinger is that the Sega Classics Hub is the recreating of an explorable 90s’ style bedroom, chocked full with Sega-themed items to marvel at, and it packs a day/night cycle and a shelf that will hold your owned games and future purchases. Pretty neat huh?

Get ready to go back in time next week, and to top it off, there will be a 66% sale going on next week, so get your wallets ready!
