Norland Enters Early Access This May

Publisher Hooded Horse has revealed the Early Access date for Norland, the “medieval sim and story generator” by developer Long Jaunt.

Revealed at the Triple-I Initiative showcase, players can start building their noble house later in May.

With over 350,000 Steam wishlists, Norland blends elements of Rimworld (i.e. one of the “story generator”/colony builder games) and Crusader Kings (the grand strategy game with so many RPG elements).

Players control a noble family in the established lands of Norland and must navigate through power struggles, intrigue, family drama and various other shenanigans that can happen due to various systems and mechanics interacting with each other.

Don’t let the cartoony depictions of the characters fool you. This game is has plenty of sex and violence. Heads will role and mosaic censors will appear rather often.

Norland feels promising from what we sampled in a recent preview. And between this and the upcoming Manor Lords, Hooded Horse will sure keep strategy and builder games fans busy in the next two months.

Norland enters Steam Early Access on May 16.
