Sonic And Sega Allstars Racing may be just a Mario Kart clone, but it is a competent one. The latest title of the series, 2012’s Sonic And Sega Allstars Racing Transformed did the whole racing by land. air and sea gimmick before Mario Kart 8, GTA Online and The Crew 2 are doing right now.
The Sonic The Hedgehog Twitter account just posted a teaser trailer with the word ” [ TOP SECRET ] “, showing a silhouette of various cars and a silhouette of a logo- with the “R” in what possibly be the word “Racing” the only thing highlighted. The “R” is interestingly stylised in a similar form to the logo of Sonic R- the lukewarm racing game from the 90’s with awkward contols but had a stellar soundtrack.

There were strong rumours that a new Sonic racing game is in the works, though Sega community manager and caretaker of the Sonic The Hedgehog Twitter account Aaron Webber denied that it has something to do with Sonic And Sega Allstarts Racing Transformed. That does not rule out that the next Sonic racing game will use a different title scheme, and the tease certainly hints at that.
