THQ Nordic announced a new studio is joining their ranks, but not through acquisition this time. Alkimia Interactive is formed after the remake of Gothic received the green light for full production.
Previously, a team of developers from Barcelona, under the name THQ Barcelona, made a playable teaser of Gothic Remake. It’s rough in places, but is promising enough for THQ Nordic to devote resources to the project. The formation of Alkimia Interactive should be a good sign of faith the publisher is showing in the project.
Alkimia will be working on the Gothic remake for PC and next-gen consoles, but also to continue making its name as a leading RPG studio in the future.
