Mortal Kombat X is a great fighting game..if you played it on consoles. The PC port gets less love, however, as performance issues plagued the title with publishers Warner Bros. not willing to put enough attention to get it fixed. The publisher has a lot of badwill when it comes to broken PC ports: they prioritised getting DLC for Batman Arknam Origins done instead of patches, the broken Batman Arkham Knight PC port so broken they have to put out of sale for a few months to fix it, and release it again while still not solving all its issues, and recently, Mortal Kombat XL- the complete edition of MKX with enhanced netcode, and Injustice 2, only having a console release.
Despite that, Ed Boon, the head of NeatherRealm Studios, offered a cheeky tweet that many have read as a signal for Mortal Kombat XL coming to PC. (Look at the capital letters!)

Lo and behold, if you look at the Steam page for Mortal Kombat X right now, you can go download the beta test for Mortal Kombat XL. As mentioned earlier, the main draw of the complete package here is not the all the extra characters bundled in one package, but its much-improved netcode that should offer a smoother experience when fighting online. The beta test ends on Monday, so you have all the weekend to go test your might online.
