Mini Metro And Mini Motorways Have 12 Million Players Combined, New Update Arrives This July To Both Games

Dinosaur Polo Club revealed that over 12 million players have played its two minimalist management puzzler/sims, Mini Metro and Mini Motorways.

That’s not a mini number at all, 12 million, even with possible overlaps in the player base between the two games, is still huge.

Mini Metro was released 10 years ago, which started out as a Ludum Dare Game Jam creation. From there, the New Zealand-based devs began its mission to “create games giving simple everyday concepts, designed for everyone.”

Dinosaur Polo Club is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Mini series, a “Miniversary”, by announcing the Miniversary Update coming to both Mini Metro and Mini Motorways on July 24.

Mini Motorways will see three new maps from Mini Metro appearing which are London, Mumbai and the winner of the community vote: New York City. These maps will include visible trains and train tracks.

Mini Metro will also be getting three new maps that first appeared in Mini Motorways. Tokyo, Warsaw and Lisbon will be added to the railway puzzler/sim.

Mini Metro is out now on PC and Mac (Steam), Nintendo Switch, iOS (including Apple Arcade) and Android.

Mini Motorways is out now on PC and Mac (Steam), Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade.
