A demo for Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, the eighth mainline game of the Like A Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series, has been announced. And it will be available in the upcoming game Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
The demo, dubbed the “Special Trial Version” requires the completion of Like A Dragon Gaiden to access. The demo will include additional scenes that won’t feature in the main game.
Those who may have considered waiting for the upcoming JRPG and skipping the spin-off game (which retains the character action/beat-’em-up/brawler gameplay the series was known for, before Yakuza: Like A Dragon did a genre shift) may need to reconsider getting, and playing Like A Dragon Gaiden. Just to get a taste of what hijinks Kasuga and Kiryu are up to that have them ended up in Hawaii.
At least the promo image, and the little teaser in the Like A Dragon Gaiden trailer, has Kasuga fully clothed. No itchy bum in sight, just old-ass bum turned-hero Ichiban Kasuga.
Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth is expected to release in Early 2024 on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be out on November 9 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
