L-L-L-MAXIMUM COMBO! Marvel VS Capcom Infinite Arrives September 19

When’s Marvel you ask? We now have a release date for Marvel VS Capcom Infinite and it’s all the way in September. Today’s reveal shows a bit more story of the new setup that crosses Capcom and Marvel characters into a hype-inducing fighting game full of extemely crazy combo potential.

What if Sigma of Mega Man X fused together with Thanos to make the ultimate evil villain? That’s all the setup needed for these two universes’ heroes to clash and then team up to fight the common enemy. Check out the trailer below:

You might notice already some new characters are revealed for the roster. These are:

  • Ultron
  • Hulk
  • Thor
  • Hawkeye
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Chun-Li
  • Strider Hiryu
  • Chris Redfield

Most of them are returning from Marvel 3, and hopefully it’ll launch with a big roster as expected from the series. It will include a Story Mode, a proper Arcade Mode (a long-requested feature still not available for Street Fighter V), Training, Mission modes and the expected online and offline multiplayer offers.

While last year’s Street Fighter V is killing it with the esports side of things, it’s not as popular as one would hope for the casual crowd due to the content rollout they are going for and the base game being pretty light in content. Hopefully Marvel Infinite proves that Capcom is taking those feedback into account this time.
