Hitman World Of Assassination Gets New Elusive Target, Dimitri Vegas, Later This Year

Didn’t expect this to drop, huh? Hitman World Of Assassination (that’s the current version of Hitman 3, now including all the maps from Hitman (2016), Hitman 2 and Hitman 3) is getting a new Elusive Target.

The target? Real-life DJ and actor Dimitri Vegas.

The reveal was actually first made at Tomorrowland 2023 on July 30th, during a surprise interruption during Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike’ set. So EDM fans were the first to know.

Elusive Targets are limited-time events where you (typically) get one shot of attempting the hit. No retries. The target (sometimes targets) must be located first, which will test the best assassins out there.

Like all Elusive Targets, Dimitri Vegas gets his own special title. Appropriately, his character is assigned the title “The Drop”. Within the World Of Assassination, “The Drop” is a “DJ-turned-drug impresario bent on controlling the scene one way or another”.

Dimitri Vegas’s likeness and voiceover will be featured in the Elusive Target.

Dimitri Vegas joins the exclusive club of real-life personalities which Agent 47 can assassinate as part of Elusive Targets. Members include Gary Busey and Sean Bean (albeit playing a role as the character Mark Faba).

This will be the first new Elusive Target for Hitman in two years. During this time, past Elusive Targets have been “reactivated” to give players who never attempted them an opportunity to try this uniquely Hitman experience.

Elusive Targets are free to all players, but it is a limited-time event.

There is no specific date on when The Drop will be released, but expect it to drop sometime later this year.

Hitman World Of Assassination is available on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
