Hello Games, The creators of Joe Danger and No Man’s Sky launched a new initiative called ‘Hello Labs’, which will support small developers who are creating games that either use procedural generation or “experimental focus”, according to Sean Murray, the studio founder.
Hello Labs will provide funding and support to one or two projects at a time, and Murray confirmed that one project is already in active development.
Murray briefly mentioned what he’s been up to at Hello Games during his company’s GDC talk, saying he’s been “busy working on a current update to No Man’s Sky”, but has not reveal anymore detail other than that.
No Man’s Sky (which launch back in August 2016) did released a Foundation Update last December, which added more content to the critically panned Open World Survival game that saw many players getting upset over broken promises, and over-hyped marketing. So,we’ll shall what Hello Games could do with their new initiative.
