Ghost Of Tsushima Is Adding 4-Player Multiplayer Co-Op

Wait, what?

Ghost Of Tsushima, Sucker Punch’s latest open-world single-player game, is getting a co-op multiplayer mode. With online matchmaking.

Called Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends, 2-4 players pick from four different classes to play as: Samurai, Ronin, Hunter or Assassin. Each has different abilities and specialities. And there are customisable, to what extent we don’t know just yet.

The co-op multiplayer mode lets you tackle new co-op story missions that get tougher as you go. If the single-player game has a more grounded take on the samurai story, Legends is going hard on the magical and mystical element, as you can see in the reveal trailer.

Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends will also have wave-based Survival missions (with new Oni enemies with supernatural abilities), as well as a… four-player Raid.

You never expected the developer to do such a thing: Sucker Punch haven’t been known for making multiplayer experiences, and to sneak this in post-launch with no mention of it at all until now is astonishingly surprising.

For those that has seen the conclusion of Jin’s journey and explored every inch of Tsushima, now there is another reason to keep booting up the game still.
