Ghost Of Tsushima, Sucker Punch’s latest open-world epic from last year, and a new IP for PlayStation Studios, have sold really well. It’s been revealed that to date, it has sold 6.5 million copies.
That’s a lot, and certainly showing that they are enough people that want an open-world game set in feudal Japan. The game also holds the current record of Sony’s fastest-selling new IP.
But the more important stat is that of the 6.5 million, roughly half of that have finished the game.
Ghost Of Tsushima should take you about 30 hours to complete, more or less, and the fact that a lot of players see it through the end show how good the game is at keeping players see it through the end.
Also, there’s a movie being made based on the game. Ghost is heavily inspired by the many Akira Kurosawa films, so it will be interesting to see how this movie will turn out.
