Outlast is one of the many newer survival horror games that uses the first-person perspective to great effect with less emphasis on combat but more on the creepiness (and sometimes jump scares).
And if you’re looking forward to go for another spooky ride, the sequel has now confirmed a release date: April 25. This is based on this tweet by developers Red Barrels:
Welcome to Temple Gate. Outlast 2 will be available digitally on PC, XBOX One and Playstation 4 on April 25th. pic.twitter.com/EFzYowzhay

In another tweet, Red Barrels clarified it will be out in physical form in the same date as well. The original Outlast, Outlast The Whistleblower DLC and Outlast 2 will all come in one disc as Outlast Trinity for the PS4 and Xbox One.
Outlast 2 was supposedly scheduled for 2016, yet several delays had the game being pushed back to Q1 of 2017. A free demo has been made available since last year.
So if you want another horror experience after the fantastic Resident Evil 7 (either to experience it yourself or watch your favourite YouTuber suffer on your behalf), this will be the one to watch.
