Get Cooking In 2-Player Co-Op Game Sedap! Demo Now Available

Sedap!, with an exclamation mark, is an upcoming 2-player co-op game where they must gather ingredients and cook up food based on Southeast Asia cuisines.

Developed by Singapore-based team Kopiforge, a demo of the game is currently available to download on itch.io.

Sedap! sounds like Overcooked!, but it differs in execution. You’d be running around a forest field to gather ingredients, some are still alive and require a good couple of whacks with an oversized machete-like instrument before it can be cooked. Making nasi lemak has never been this fantastical.

And most fascinating is the dynamic, diagonal split-screen. Players are untethered so they can move around freely without worrying of sharing the camera. And it’s been a hot minute since we saw a game with a diagonal split-screen. There may be other recent titles, but the most famous game to use that is the original The Sims’ console ports.

If you like SEA food and Southeast Asia vibes, Sedap! might be appetising to you. Some may even say delicious. The demo is free to download.
