Genshin Impact Update Version 2.7 Out Now

The long-awaited (and delayed) update for the Hoyoverse (previously Mihoyo) open-world RPG and gacha game Genshin Impact has arrived today.

Version 2.7, “Hidden Dreams in the Depths” adds a new Archon Quest and the addition of two new playable characters.

Players will be able to continue adventuring into The Chasm with the “Perilous Trail” event, which should uncover more story and lore of the past. Finishing it will unlock a new combat challenge “Realms of Guile and War” as well as other rewards like the event-exclusive four-star bow, Fading Twilight.

Version 2.7 of Genshin Impact adds two more playable characters. Bow-wielder Yelan is “a mysterious figure with many faces and identities, which includes the owner of the Yanshang Teahouse and the special intelligence officer of Liyue” and a new Hydro DPS five-star character. Whereas Kuki Shinobu, “the surprisingly reliable and capable deputy leader of the Arataki Gang”, is a support Electro four-star character that fights with a sword.

Xiao and Yelan will also be available again to pull as a banner re-run.

Genshin Impact Version 2.7 update is out now. The game is free-to-play and available on PS4, PS5, PC, as well as on iOS and Android.
