Garmin’s Latest Smartwatch Lets You Share Your Biometrics Live On Stream, Now Available In Malaysia

Do you really need a smartwatch for gaming? Garmin thinks some of you would, with the release of the Garmin Instinct Esports Edition.

This is a variant of the Garmin Instinct, a rugged outdoor GPS smartwatch.

So why would esports athletes or gamers who are more likely be staying indoors would want one, you ask? The smartwatch can track your live biometrics like heart rate and stress.

The Garmin Instinct Esports Edition can be paired with the new PC streaming software called “STR3AMUP!” that can broadcast the biometric data live on stream. So viewers can see you being focused in intense situations.

However, we could see this as a potentially good tool for streaming horror games as well. Seeing the heart rate rising as things getting dreadful might can be good entertainment for the viewer experience.

When running in Esports mode, the Garmin Instinct has three days worth of battery life.

Access to Esports mode the “STR3AMUP!” PC tool is only available for the Esports Edition. The Esports Edition also only comes in one colour: Black Lava.

The Garmin Instinct Esports Edition is out now in Malaysia for the price of RM1,399 through AECO e-store and authorised retailers, Lazada and Shopee.

It is a rather expensive tool and it’s not something everyone would need. But if you intend to get good in the game (as well as wanting to track and improve your overall health), and maybe do a horror game stream on the side, this may be something you are looking for.
