gamescom Asia 2020 Isn’t Cancelled Yet, But If It Should There Will Be Refunds

Most gaming events, and gathering events in general, are either cancelled or postponed in light of the current global pandemic we are facing. But there are a few events, scheduled later in the year, that isn’t pulling the plug just yet.

gamescom Asia 2020 would be the first of its kind- as Singapore’s usual game expo Game Start makes way for them to be the premier gaming event in the region. It is set for October 15th-18th.

But with the current situation, the organisers issued an update on their situation.

The short answer is it’s not cancelling yet with preparations still underway, and the event organisers of Koelnmesse are monitoring the situation. “We remain hopeful that the event will take place as planned,” the statement reads.

So far, Singapore is suspending all events and gatherings until June, which makes gamescom Asia is in the clear. However, should there be any change in directive by the Singaporean authorities, gamescom Asia will comply.

In addition, gamescom Asia reassures that any bookings and tickets will be refunded should the event is cancelled.
