Besides Sony’s final State of Play Direct, Nintendo also did their final Video Direct in the form of the Indie World Showcase. Here are some of the games showcased on the Livestream.
The folks at Phoenix labs are bringing their Monster Hunter-esque RPG action game, Dauntless onto the switch. The game is a free-to-play co-op game so bring some friends to enjoy this one online (and in any console thanks to Crossplay) and even on the go right now for the Switch.
One of the most intriguing RPGs that’s only on the Switch is Golf Story, a game where you golf and somehow have an RPG-like adventure while aiming for a hole in one. Now the developers Sidebar Studios is making a sequel called Sports Story, where you’ll play football, tennis, and even traverse dungeons. Expect it getting onto the eShop in 2020.
Streets of Rage 4
A new gameplay trailer for Street of Rage 4 has been unveiled, which includes the new character Adam Hunter into the game’s roster. The game is still set for a First half of 2020 release for all consoles, Switch included of course.
Bake N’ Switch
Yup, the fine folks at Streamline Studio’s latest project, Bake N’ Switch, was showcased on the official Nintendo Livestream this morning. Read what we think about the game here!
Another game that’s about making games? But it has multiple theme genres with the ability to make 2D and 3D games according to specifics you decide and then share them to friends? Sign me up. The game will launch in May 2020.
The Sword Dating Isometric Action RPG title Boyfriend Dungeon is heading into the Nintendo Switch. The game will see you leveling up and dating your swordfus in this weird but wonderful game, which is coming into the eShop in 2020.
And that’s all the snippets of this showcase which we find interesting. The Nintendo Switch is killing it with the many different indies coming onto the system and with them heading towards the next gen with this headstart, it’s looking good for the system in 2020.
