So without further ado, here’s the first interview with one Sienz!
GM: Tell us a little about yourself – who you are, what you do as a gamer, and where can people find your content?
S’up guys! KSienz here, but people who are close to me call me, “Kurai(yes that’s what the K stands for) or simply, Ice. As a competitive gamer, I try to do a lot of theory crafting and practice long hours, at least 5 hours a day since college started for me. I also like to watch Pro Player streams and try to learn from them as well. You can always catch up with me on social media, either on Facebook or at Fundeavour! Try to keep up with me, as a new event might just come with enough support from you guys!
GM: How did you get into gaming? Was there a particular gaming personality that inspired you?
I didn’t play any online games until I was 13 years old, or at least that was when I really remember. A couple of friends took me to a cyber cafe and showed me League of Legends, and that’s how I really started my road to gaming. I get inspiration from a lot of professionals, ranging from locals to international players, but I get the most from players that work hard and have a tough background, like GMB, Gogoing and Doublelift. I feel like I can relate a lot to them since my parents don’t really approve of my gaming life, but I always look ahead and make the best of it. Sometimes, when I’m down, my teammates will always push me up, I think that is also the reason I’m able to come this far.
GM: What’s the dream? What sort of gamer do you want to be in the future? Is gaming a potential career for you?
The dream would definitely be feeling the heat of a huge crowd cheering for me and my team, I really want to be on the big stage someday, feeling the cheers and hype from the crowd. There has been a lot of opportunities for me, but I seem to always come up short. I want to be a feature player, someone that stands in the spotlight and someone that others can look up to, something like the Bruce Lee of Gaming, I want to make history. A gaming career is definitely something that has been on my mind since day 1, but I need to prove myself.
GM: What advice would you give to someone looking to start a gaming channel or be an eSports player?
My personal advice for those starting a Gaming Channel is to always be sincere, be true to the fans and always have fun with it. And be consistent, always try to produce content 2-3 times a week. To those who wants to pursue a eSports career, work hard and your tears, sweat and blood with be well rewarded. Always look to improve yourself, and never point fingers at others.
GM: What’s your view on GamerMalaya regarding the local gaming scene?
I think GamerMalaya is doing a decent job, I really do appreciate this opportunity because it really helps me out a lot. I hope they continue their hard work on helping out rookies that have just entered the scene.
GM: Lastly, why are you a part of Fundeavour? Would you recommend Fundeavour to other gamers reading this right now?
