Another free game is being offered on the Humble Store and it’s another XCOM game, the XCOM game we mostly forgotten. For good reason.
When 2K first announced they were bringing back the franchise to the modern era, it was in name only. Similar to how EA brought back Syndicate as an FPS that came and went, 2K reimagined XCOM as an FPS with a horror twist. Both attempts did not do so well, and 2K later announced a proper strategy XCOM game from Firaxis, that did amazingly well to have its own sequel and later an expansion.
But The Bureau: XCOM Declassified isn’t a terrible game, it’s a decent cover-based third-person shooter that struggled to stand out at its time.For the price of free, you can now play it on PC. Grab it while you still can at this link here.
