F1 Manager 2023 Releasing This July

Frontier Developments has announced a release date for F1 Manager 2023, their second of many management sims based on Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport.

Alongside the announcement is a new trailer featuring gameplay. This trailer shows a new visor cam where you get to see the closest thing to an F1 driver’s POV, and some heavy crashes.

For this year’s game, F1 Manager 2023 will include a Race Replay mode, which is essentially a Scenario mode based on the events of the 2023 season of F1. An example shown here is the Australian Grand Prix where you have to manage McLaren’s Oscar Piastri to his first points-winning finish in his home race, with two laps to go. Presumably, this is to replicate the chaotic restart of the Grand Prix where the race saw multiple race restarts after a red flag.

Throughout the trailer you get to see the authenticity the game is going for depicting race days. Like last year’s game F1 Manager 2023 features voice lines by the actual drivers and engineers, with the commentary duties handled by David Croft and Karun Chandok. The new/returning drivers get full 3D models.

F1 Manager 2023 will also be adding a Sporting Manager which will allow you to develop your drivers’ performance, a driver’s confidence system that can be affected by battles and mistakes, surface and carcass tyre temperatures fluctuating and more.

F1 Manager 2023 will be out later this summer (Q3, late June at the earliest) on the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
