E3 2019: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gets 13 Minutes Worth Of Gameplay Shown

EA Play has happened which signals the start of E3 2019. The first game shown on the EA Play livestream, which is not a press conference this time, is gameplay of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Developed by Respawn with Stig Asmussen (God Of War III) as game director, this is a single-player action adventure set after the events of Star Wars Episode III.

The gameplay certainly shows it’s a linear single-player experience, which is not a bad thing. A lot of cinematic moments, simple platforming and reversal and combat are shown off in this slice of pure gameplay.

In combat, the camera centers straight to the back of protagonist Cal Kestis’ back when locked on target. Jedi powers like force push and lightsaber skills like parrying shots and throwing the saber boomerang-style are seen. The thoughtful

There are skills to unlock. Respawn confirmed this will be used to upgrade your force powers, which includes force push, force pull, force flip (double jump) and force slow- a time-stop ability.

The score certainly fit for a Star Wars product, fleeting orchestra.

Also, head’s up: the trailer does have giant spiders.

If you’re a Star Wars fan and just wanted EA make a single-player game, then you’d be pumped for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Though it doesn’t seem to be innovating or having never-before-seen game mechanics (at least not in this trailer).

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming out on November 15th for the PS4, PC (Origin) and Xbox One.
