E3 2019: Season 2 Of Apex Legends Detailed – New Legend, Weapon, Battle Pass Changes And More Coming July 2nd

Construct additional pylons

Apex Legends got at least 30 minutes of screen-time on the EA Play livestream. And if you’re left wanting more out of the free battle royale, then you’re going to get them next month.

Respawn has outlined what’s coming to Season of Apex Legends. After listening to feedback, Season 2, called Battle Charge, will have more unlocks like skins within the Battle Pass. Badges and stat trackers will not be part of the rewards, to be replaced with something else.

The challenges themselves will not be time-limited to specific weeks like before. So if you miss out on a few weeks of play and you can still complete the daily and weekly challenges debuted in the past weeks.

There will be a new weapon added to Season 2- the L-Star energy machine gun. First seen in Titanfall 2, it’s pretty powerful that it only drops in care packages. Weapons will get some changes as well, with hints that the Mozambique getting buffed.

For the competitive players, Rank mode is coming.

Lastly, a new legend named Wattson will debut. She is a support that can create energy fences by placing up to 12 nodes of pylons. Should an enemy walks through it will get damaged and ping the whole squad of it happening. Her ultimate brings down an Interception Pylon which charges the team’s shield and negates mortar strikes, grenades, and arc stars. Her passive lets her get a full charge of ultimate when using an Ultimate Accelerants. Wattson’s playstyle should get people playing more defensively, at least on paper.

Season 2 of Apex Legends begins July 2nd. Apex Legends is out now for free on PS4, PC (Origin) and Xbox One.
