Dual Gear Is A Turn-Based Strategy Game With Giant Mechs, Out Now On Steam Early Access

Here’s a cool game made here in Southeast Asia. Dual Gear is a turn-based strategy game with giant mechs and free movement. It blends elements of Front Mission and Valkyria Chronicle, games that developer Orbital Speed Studio took inspiration from.

The game is out now on PC via Steam Early Access. Despite some launch hiccups, it’s out now proper.

The Steam Early Access version contains the first act of the story, which includes 4 missions. All the mechs can be customised in the Hangar. Plus, there’s also Skirmish Mode.

Take a look at the new launch trailer here:

For one thing, the folks clear got the mech aesthetic right. These are quite the giant robots that you wish there’s a plastic model kit you can build one. But don’t expect a gung-ho fast-paced action here, though you can expect bursts of them as you pilot your squad of mechs in battle. Mech limbs can be destroyed, and there are melee attacks. And yes, you can equip a pile bunker.

Dual Gear is out now in Steam Early Access for RM38. It will also be coming to PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2021.
