Diablo IV Is Blizzard’s Fastest-Selling Game Ever

Diablo IV is now officially out on June 6. And impressively, the game is now Blizzard Entertainment’s fastest-selling game ever.

It helps that a massive amount of players have purchased the edition which grants them early access starting on June 1, which is also Blizzard’s highest pre-launch unit sales on consoles and PC. And those are hardcore players. Within the four days of that early access release, the player base has collectively spent 93 million hours.

Blizzard, however, isn’t stating exact sales numbers.

While Blizzard’s reputation has been less than stellar of the recent years, it looks like fans still have faith that the team can deliver full-fledged games, enough to purchase the early access editions.

Diablo IV is an ARPG set 50 years after the events of Diablo III. The story sees you chasing Lillith, the big baddie for this entry.

Diablo IV features cross-play and cross-progression (cross-saves) on all platforms, with the consoles supporting two-player couch (local) co-op. The game supports four-player co-op multiplayer.
